  • Choosing not to use insurance for mental health services offers several important benefits. It protects your privacy by keeping your personal information and treatment details out of insurance records, and it allows you to access support without a required diagnosis or limits on the number or type of sessions you can receive. Paying privately also gives you greater flexibility in scheduling, treatment approaches, and the pace of therapy, ensuring that your care is guided by what’s best for you—not by insurance restrictions.

  • I do accept HSA and FSA cards for therapy sessions, which allows you to use pre-tax funds to help cover the cost of your care. This can make therapy more affordable while still giving you the flexibility, privacy, and control that comes with paying privately. If you’re unsure whether your account covers mental health services, you can check with your plan provider for details.

  • I hold a firm 24-hour cancellation policy. Clients who do not show, or cancel within the 24 hour window, are charged a $100 fee.

  • I have a limited capacity for sliding scale appointments, at $120 a session. Please inquire with me directly, but note that I only hold a specific number of open sliding scale slots at a time and cannot guarantee availability.

  • Item descDuring your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your goals, your history, and what you’re hoping to change or understand, and you’ll have space to ask questions and share at your own pace. This session is collaborative and low-pressure—its purpose is to help us determine a plan that feels supportive, and tailored to you.ription

  • Sessions are 50- minutes, and frequency is determined between client and therapist depending on the clients goals and the modality utilized.
